Because of the hit in depreciation of the current model year when the new model year comes out, it is better to get the new model year if you like to trade in every few years.

If you are going to keep the car for a long time, get the current model year and get the best possible deal.

I have always felt/believed the exact same thing.
This is why I am waiting 6 months (May to November) to buy a 2005 G35 coupe.

if you're getting a 6mtC, brembo's add to handling and to many, many compliments.
