Scratches on Aluminum Door Trim

Hey guys, I was wondering if anyone had a suggestions as to how I can repair the scratches on my aluminum door trim. Yesterday I noticed a large area that looks as though it was abraded my something metal and has in turn scraped of lots of the paint. I have no idea what could have caused this scraping, but if you have any suggestions as to what could be used to fix it I'd really appreciate it.

Are you talking about the trim on the inside door handle.... the one you use to close the door? Or are you talking about the kick-plates?

I have the wheat interior in my car, so a dark Carbon Fiber wouldn't match up. Is there a lighter option that I could use? Also, how exactly did you do the wrap C?

They have different colors available, but none that would match wheat.

3m adhesive spray. It's pretty easy. Took about 15 minutes to do both sides.

I'm not really that familiar with Carbon Fiber Fabric, but in your original post you mentioned there was also a silver weave. Would that match the aluminum trim?

They have black, charcoal, titanium, and silver. It's $35/yard from EuroDyne (Google them for their info).

Or try eBay (same stuff).

I like the look of the silver carbon fiber, but do you think it would match or at least be close? C, to do the install you just popped the trim piece off and then cut the fabric to fit? Or did you wrap the fabric around behind the trim piece?

I wrapped the fabric around. That's the only way to do it, IMO.

It's been a long time since I've seen a wheat interior. It's hard for me to say if it would match.
