clutch help needed

I have a 03 g35 6mt. it has about 70k on it and i am the 2nd owner. my clutch just went out today while i was on my way to work, so i literally had to force the gears in to make it to my friends house which was on the way. later i went to a mechanic and he said it was mostly likely the clutch had to be replaced and he got help from a transmission shop next door to look at it. after further explanation the people from the transmission shop they said it has a semi-manual transmission. i think that it is complete bull becuz the car has a clutch. however, on the slow painful drive home i noticed that i was able to shift gears into 3rd and 4th without the clutch.

its basically where you are able to shift the gears without the clutch, but if you have that transmission on a car, there is no clutch pedal. its like the triptronic transmission

Isn't that something like Dual Clutch transmission?

Im pretty sure your transmission is not sem-auto or what ever the BS they told you.

Take it to as different shop that know there way around a G.

Yea dude this is a regular 6spd with clutch. It's possible shift gears w/o the clutch but the timing has to be perfect otherwise you're in for a world of grinding. I would not recommend this.

What you need is a new clutch. Not sure for the G's but typically $600-$1000 installed.
