All right dude but what does he use for tires? His insurance company didn't give him enough $ for both tires and wheels, tires will cost him at least another $1000+.... My opinion, his insurance company is screwing him big time. We never realize how worthless these companys are until we need them, and yet we can't own or drive a vehicle without them....unless you're an illegal!

well I dont know about depreciation... I didnt have my wheels stolen but when I ripped out my WHOLE exhaust from the engine back... I got a check for almost 6500. My insurance has to give me the money replacement with the OEM parts...

good luck I would get a quote from the dealer and get an adjustment from the insurance company.

he should have gotten an estimate with the check that shows how much the wheels and tires are..someone had to write an estimate I dont know what they wrote for tires..but I know the wheels are 346.00 a piece for the rears. www.transwheel.com so thats 1384 for the wheels.
depending on the tires they wrote for is doesnt look like anyone got screwed.
hey o/p did they give you an estimate?

No they did not give me a estimate. They came to inspect my vehicle and was told the inspector will give me estimate and talk to me what will happen. Because this is my first time i had something stolen valuable from my car.

But the inspector came 2 days later than the appointment date and didn't even leave me a message that he was here. So i had no idea what went on. Few days later i get a letter with check.

Here's how they got the price.

Make sure that they also have TPMS included in whatever the cost ends up being. Remember that insurance is supposed to return the vehicle to it's previous condition. The sensors weren't in your previous post but you might want them

That sucks, definitely fight that, big difference in price between 18" and 19" especially in tires

everything
Thats complete bull****! Doesnt matter what condition his wheels were in, some a$$hole stole them. I could see if someone gets in an accident and its your fault but to make you pay your deductable becuz some ******** decided to steal an essential part of your car is a crock of ****! Insurance companies are getting worse when it comes to screwing their customers.

And ya car guys like us know to look online for used wheels at a better cost but the average person doesnt know 2 ****s about their car or even what size wheels they have on it. That check should have been a lot bigger.

If it were me in this situation I would have called or been at an Infiniti dealership the next day pricing out everything that needed to be replaced, an adjustor or appraiser doesnt know half as much about your own car as you do. Then faxed the pricing over to the insurance company.

I called State Farm for a qoute a few months ago when I was trying to get a lower rate, took them 4 days to call me back while everyone else gave me a qoute while on the phone or within 30 minutes later.
Try calling Ameriprise Insurance, who I go thru, they cut my rates in half when other insurance companies wouldnt budge for me. Was paying $1200+ a year, now Im down to $600. Theyre based in WI but insure all over the US

Ok. Update on the insurance claim

Turns out i got what i was expecting!! I got another check from the insurance company for 4,500. Plus the 1,500 from last time so in total i got 6,000 for wheel+tires.

Not bad at all, i'm glad i caught onto the mistake the insurance agent tried to slip away with. I had to go to dealership and make them print out that i actually had the 19" wheel cause they said when they pulled up the vin for my car, it showed up i had 18". Which i know they were lying out there *** to save money.
