Now I'm not saying I agree with Stackz's taste or the way he's handled himself here. His responses and insults to people are pretty ignorant. But...

Making jokes with racial slurs, based on stereotypes... pretty ignorant

Making broad blanket statements about races is ignorant, its assuming characteristics in place of having real knowledge about the individual. "He likes big rims he must be black" isn't a fact. Neither is "he's black, he must be a criminal, lets pull him over" or "That car has a body kit, he must be racing, lets pull him over". Just because its about cars doesn't make it much better than more malicious things.

wouldn't a tire with a taller sidewall help absorb bumps a little better?

Very well said. 22's will look horrible in my opinion but it is your car. Your the one paying for it and driving it so it doesn't effect me. Enjoy your car and if you do get 22's at least make them tasteful. GL

its not being ignorant, take a criminal justice class and learn about racial profiling and how its actually a tool the police use and then lets talk. I interned for the police and seen it first hand, with different races of officers even. If u drive around with any cop ull see how much cars like that stick out, and when the majority of drug dealers, and people who do crime roll in those cars, they will stick out no? Just like a black lincoln continental blacked out looks like a mafia car right? If u see a yellow corvette, u probably say in ur head, why the hell did that guy get that color hes gunna stick out like a sore thumb. Think about it for a minute before YOU make the stereotype about me. And lets be honest here, go on car domain and 99% of the people with huge chrome rims on their car are either latino or black its not a stereotype its the closest thing to the truth. good day sir.

lol i always wanted to say that

1. I made no stereotypes about you. I don't even know any groups you belong to(other than g35 owners obviously) on which to base a stereotype. I judged YOU based on YOUR actions, not you based on some group's perceived actions.

2. Yes, racial profiling occurs every day. Trust me, as a (half) black guy from Newark NJ, I know that. But as an Ivy league educated lawyer(well, give me a couple months on the lawyer part), I have taken a criminal justice class...many, and I know its wrong and illegal. I have been pulled over driving a stock, automatic focus hatch back and hassled for no reason more times than I care to recall. In my 8 or so years of driving I have been pulled over almost 20 times and received 1 ticket...for a burned out turn signal.

Can racial profiling be effective? Possibly. Does that make it ok to use? No. It is unconstitutional under the 4th and 14th amendments.

3. Most of the examples your provided(continental, corvette) aren't examples of racial profiling, thats vehicle profiling. That only violates the 4th amendment, and is therefore more palatable to most people.

4. I can't help but notice you didn't defend the coon thing. l imagine that is kind of hard to defend throwing around racial slurs with history like that world lightly. The line between ignorance and deliberately insensitive is very fine.

profiling violates no amendment rights, its up to the discretion of the officer...profiling is profiling no matter how u slice it. Its a picture of cartman from southpark being the coon. oh well i honestly would care less if u think im a racist or not. Racial profiling is an effective policing tool, u might wanna retake that class i think u heard wrong. and if u wanna defend my point even more, throw some 20's on your focus and dark window tint and let me know how much u get hassled.

Profiling can but doesn't necessarily violate rights. RACIAL profiling does. The 14th amendment guarantees equal treatment under the law, without consideration of race. Profiling is not equal treatment, and therefore in violation of it. Regardless of its effectiveness, it is illegal; illegal to the point that there are specific laws so that traffic stops can be monitored to combat it. http://www.nj.com/news/index.ssf/200...ial_profi.html

I have no doubt I'd be hassled more, and I don't doubt that profiling is an effective tool. Chemical weapons are effective tools as well, but we don't use them against our military enemies. There is a difference between what is effective and what is right or acceptable.

I understand it's from southpark, but saying you must be black, then posting a picture with coon in it, regardless of source, could be taken as pretty offensive.

ok well the only point i was making earlier is that
a. his car will look retarded and like a drug dealer is driving it
b. he fits a demographic to the T
c. hes going to 100% get hassled by the cops without a doubt
d. they will "profile" him regardless, if ur a minority u basically already have a strike against u (i know thats messed up to say but its the truth) so why bring more unneccesary attention to yourself, therefore adding more problem to the big picture.
e. the only idiot white guy ive ever seen with huge wheels on his cars is paul wall lol

b.Sure
c.Unfortunate but probably true
d.fair point, but i dont see how its making it worse. I figure as long as he is not actually a drug dealer etc he is proving the stereotype wrong.
e.I've seen my fair few, haha. http://www.chriscruise.com/pics/Car%...0/DSC01196.JPG
