03' Coupe - Gauges/Climate Control/Electrical Problems!
Weird problem this morning.
Started the car this morning and noticed that my gauges were dead (no lights & needles didn't move) as well as my climate control panel (no compass, temp, etc). Also, my blinker, head lights, and windshield wipers didnt work. Basically everything in my interior was dead. BUT the stereo DID work during this whole ordeal.
After a few minutes, my gauges/climate control started to flicker, but wouldn't stay on.
20 minutes later, everything came back to life. Gauges worked & lit up, I could use my turn signals, and climate control worked. HOWEVER, my compass would work intermittently - it would show 3 bars for a few seconds then work again. Also my outside temp on my climate control panel was way off. It read 32 degrees when it was easily 70 degrees or so.
Drove for 30 mins to work. After 4 hours, all gauges seem to be working fine again.
I've read about the BCM and a control board behind the stereo - could any one of these affect the electrical system the way I described?
Any help, any idea's would be very much appreciated.
EDIT: Update - Found that my rear left tail light leaks water. After a 5 day rain storm - enough water leaked into my trunk to mess with my electrical. On top of that, I left my car parked in the sun for 2 days which created condensation on the inside of my car. I do believe the condenstion is what caused this mess. I will seal up my trunk and dry out my interior. I hope this will be the end of this whole ordeal.
