So when I was torquing my lug nut on, the lug nut broke. Not the stud. The lug nut. And it's starting to rust because of the recent storm here in socal. So the lug nut is all the way in there and I dont know how to get it out. I got quoted at a wheel shop for 65 dollars all day service. A friend of mine told me to heat it up with solder to get the rust off and try to slowly twist it off? What do you guys think I should do? Here are some pics. If need more detailed pics, I'll post more later.

Try to get it off with some needle nose pliers, that might work depending on how tight the lug nut is.

hammer on a socket thats SLIGHTLY smaller than the lugnut and then take it off that way. I had to do that when i bought my car, the owner lost the wheel lock key. well 4 ruined sockets and an hour later i got them off.

Oh, and the rust is not going to be the obstacle to getting that off so don't worry about the rust.

This....^....is about the only way to remove the broken lugnut and exactly what the tire shop will do. Shouldn't take more than 15 minutes and that's searching for the correct socket to hammer on. If you'll install your wheel lugnuts with a torq wrench set at 85 LBS you'll never have this issue again.

okay, so I wasn't able to remove the lugnut myself with hammer, wd40, stripped bolt removers with impact gun. I took it to autotoyz and they removed the whole wheel assembly and tried to remove the stud from behind but they couldn't do that either. They said the only thing i could do was to get a really small drill bit and drill through the stud to crack it. but they said my wheels will get damaged for sure, and there is also a chance that the hub will get damaged so it wont be able to hold a stud anymore

Your nut should be 19mm so use a 18 or 17 and do what they say and hammer it on and use a 1/2 drive breaker bar to get it off. Make sure the socket is also a 1/2 drive. Next time dont get motegi, cheap brand.

Yes, use the slightly smaller socket method, and find one that is a 12 point instead of the regular 6 point. It will work (and it will probably rag-out the socket, but if its a Craftsman just get it replaced for free).

that happend on my accord.. Pick up an emergency nut remover.. they have them at sears and harbor freight

If all else fails you can drill out the stud and replace the wheel stud. That would be my first choice at the risk of damaging the wheel paint with the above mentioned methods.
