Scratch on G

Greetings everyone,

I got my G about 4 mths ago and everything was going well, until one day I went to detail the car and discovered a scratch that was under the clear cut and had some of the paint missing. I tried to buff it out but made it worst. Finally I took it for an estimate at a local body shop and they want 800+ to fix. Do you think touch up paint will cover this up or should i look at other shops for estimates? Also is it possible to spray just the affected area or will the whole side have to be painted?

Call your local infiniti dealer. I went down to mine and they gave me a bottle of the touch up paint for my color for free. It's only like 10 bucks anyway. You can't make it any worse, so just touch up the spot a little.

If you don't like it or want it fixed, go to local shops, get a couple estimates, then get it fixed. Or ask around and see if you can find someone who knows someone. Someone threw a rock at my car a few years ago and chipped it up bad. Ended up getting my friend to get me a great deal at his uncles shop.

There's a process called Dr.ColorChip they may be able to fix your scratch without spending a bunch of $. Drcolorchip.com or (866) DR CC KIT This should work better than touch up paint from Infiniti, I've used both....

Maaco? Biaaatches, I wouldn't go back to maaco even if I had to paint my toaster...bunch of retards that know nothing about painting, they tape your car and spray the **** without even sanding it, crappy job...Go to home depot and get a roller and some sherwin williams paint and you'll do a better job than maaco.

LOL... That doesn't even begin to describe how absolutely terrible they are. My cousin got his passenger door re painted after a small wreck and there were literally dried drip runs down the paint. Looked something like this when we got it back:
