04 > 03?

Hey guys. I bought my 03.5 in May, 2003. Recently it was totalled in an accident, but I was having so many problems with it at that time like 1) fuel tank sending unit, 2) grease streaks, 3) pop/tick from windows, 4) shifting drivers seat, 5) bad chipping paint, 5) vdc/slip light coming on, etc.

Anyway, I'm close to getting an 04. Getting a great deal on it with the 04 closeouts and was wondering if all of these problems I was having with my 03 were fixed in the 04s. They were a constant source of stress for me and would hate to go through that all over again.

Anybody with an 04 have any feedback?

The 04s are more reliable for sure. Many of the TSBs were fixed. I'd get the 05s as those are probably even better.

I'd wait for the 05. Have you seen the thread w/ the video on whether to buy 04's vs. 05's?

Basically, unless you are going to keep your car a long time, you are better off buying the 05 because the 04's already have 1 yr of depreciation on them, which is more than the value of the discounts they will give you on the lot.

"5) vdc/slip light coming on, etc."

unless you're going straight down the freeway and this happens then it's a problem. however, mine does it all the time when i take corners and gun it when it should come on and let you know that the car is slipping...
