I've done some more research and found numerous posts on here from people with their foam deteriorating int he same manner and getting it replaced under warranty by their dealer. I've printed our references to many of their posts as well as the TSB about the seat leather ripping to argue my case if I need to. I will be taking them with me to Atlantic Infiniti here in Jacksonville tomorrow to try and get it fixed hopefully. I'll update you all here.

I had my bolster replaced a few years ago under warranty. Guess what? It's starting to show signs of sagging again. The materials Infiniti use in general are from the bottom of the barrel.

i have an 03 that has the problem. along with a rip in my leather. i also noticed that when i go to vacuum my back seat, i see a whole bunch of broken foam pieces on the floor. i thought it was a rodent in my car at first until i read a bunch of these threads with people complaining about their seats. i hope i can rule the rodents out now.

I have an 06 coupe with 41000 miles on it. I am afraid of this happening due to getting in and out of the car. I try to be careful but I still rub it. However, The few times my car has been in the shop at my dealer, I noticed the technicians actually but their knee on the bolster while looking around the inside of the car. I wish I would have tapped him. But maybe tell your dealer that you noticed some techs putting their knee on it? Hopefully that will sawy them more to replacing it. It is a white lie but it does happen, you just may have not seen it like me. Just a thought though. Goodluck!

Good news. Took it to Atlantic Infiniti today and they are replacing the seat bottom cushion and leather!

The service consultant I dealt with, Roger, was very good. They didn't even ask to go out and look at it after I explained to him the problem. I was in and out in about 20 minutes with a nice G37 sedan loaner. Woohoo!

After having my bottom driver's cushion replaced 2 years ago under warranty, it is flat again! I will try the dealership again (I have an extended warranty) and if all else fails, I will go to an upholstery shop. I just hope they can replace the cushion and keep the original shape without using the factory cushion.
