Driver Seat Foam Flattening Out On Sides
Hey guys,
The left raised part of the driver's seat (bolster?) on my 06 G coupe is looking pretty bad. The foam on the bolster is flattening out and causing the leather to sag/look stretched in that area. I think the leather is actually ok, but you can feel the foam is really deformed/flattened/squished in that area. I feel like if I could get inside the seat there and stuff some foam in it would fix the issue. It's obviously from getting in and out of the vehicle as I notice that my thigh goes to that exact position and squishes the foam down when I turn to step out of the seat. I'm thinking the guy who had my G before me was a fat dude.
Anyone else have this issue? Is this covered under warranty? I've got a few months left and really want to get it fixed to make the leather look nice and tight again but I feel like they might give me the run-around saying that it's just standard wear or something. But I really don't think the foam should fail like that. Seems like it's some cheap foam or something. I can also see it starting to happen on the passenger side somewhat as well (on the right bolster there).
Thanks.

Good news. Took it to Atlantic Infiniti today and they are replacing the seat bottom cushion and leather!
The service consultant I dealt with, Roger, was very good. They didn't even ask to go out and look at it after I explained to him the problem. I was in and out in about 20 minutes with a nice G37 sedan loaner. Woohoo!
--EDIT 3--
Got my car back today. Brand new bottom seat cushion and leather. Looks so much better now!

Same here, But I fixed it
The exact same thing is happened to my driver seat as well...
I actually fixed it last weekend though. Went to walmart and bought a memory foam pillow(10 bucks) to fix it. This is what I did:
1: Removed the seat from the Car (4 Bolts)
2: Removed the 2 front screws on the plastic trim part of the seat and popped off the 3 retaining clips (2 White, 1 Black) from the side.
3: Made a cardboard outline of the flatened bolster, and cut the pillow to specs
4: Pulled the leather back, held on by plastic pieces that are sewn onto the leather on the front, then popped out the 2 plastic screws on the side.
5: Removed the runined foam and put the new piece in the area
6: Pulled the leather down tight and connected back to the seat itself.
7. Replaced Plastice pieces and bolted back in the car.
8: DONE.
One thing I would recommend is not to put too much pillow back in the seat. The seat is a little hard on the side now and not as comfortable, BUT it looks 10000000 better!
Hope this Helps

Mine is doing the same thing.. The cushion flattened oout and the plastic piece is completely exposed and it catches on my jeans whenever i get out.. All the foam is under the seat.. I have to vacuum it out all the time.. I have a fix for it though as soon as the cold weather is over..
