Interest Thread - Alum. Washer Fluid Tube

So as I'm getting closer and closer to being finished my engine bay, one the last things I need to take care of is the plastic wiper fluid tube. It just doesn't look right with the other polished parts in there. I tried looking for a solution but there really doesn't seem to be anything out there.

I've decided that I'll be making an aluminum replacement. I should hopefully have the prototype soon. If there is enough interest for them, I will be offering them. It would be offered in non-polished and polished. I'm not sure about the price right now, but I will post a rough one when I know if a mod OK's it.

Also, installation will more than likely be just unscrewing the screw for the tube, pulling it out and putting the new one in. There shouldn't be any need to take off your bumper, headlights, or other parts.

Update
I have received a prototype and will be working on finishing the last steps this week. They will be ready for sale in a week hopefully. Below is a picture of the cap. Please keep in mind that it still has to be polished. I will hopefully have some installed pics by the end of the week

Installed Pics Here

Update...price will be roughly $150, maybe more, maybe less. I should have a final price within a week.

Just a note to mods, if I offer this, I will be becoming a sponsor. If there are any problems with me posted the rough price, let me know

I'd be interested. I have the alum. power steering tank and am looking for a radiator tank.

Any more interest? I may be delaying this if only a few people are interested but it will definitely be made. I'll be talking with my supplier on Monday about pricing and an approximate production number will definitely help with getting a pretty accurate price for those interested

Most guys just pull that tube out entirely and put a piece of tape over the hole in the reservoir. You rarely need to use it, and it can be quickly reinstalled when you do.

Either way, I think an aluminum filler would look pretty good, I just don't want you to spend your money on something you may not be able to sell.

Polished finish will be available, as well as non-polished. I'll have a good idea about when the prototype will be done tomorrow and will let you guys know ASAP.

I thought about using some tape to cover up the opening on the fluid tank but I fill up my fluid a lot so it would be kind of inconvenient, but I definitely appreciate the input

I thought that you offered an alum. overflow tank, not a painted one.

Yea, if you live on the left coast we hardly ever use the windshield cleaner. In fact nothing pisses me off more than some dumb azz in front of me using his/hers on the freeway....

I wish I never had to use mine, it'd be nice to just be able to take it out. This is more for the people who can't be with it
