I've had plenty of people with muscle or euro cars tell me how great my G sounds and want to know what kind of aftermarket exhaust I have.

I love their reaction when I tell them its stock.

I don't get the hostility. Just the OP's opinion, we are all free to disagree.

Quote: As much as I love my Bassani with aftermarket cats, y-pipe, z-tube and Stillen intake and MD spacer, I still miss the sound of OEM exhaust. That was beyond the shadow of a doubt one of the seeling points on the car for me. Seems like OP, you're on your own on this one. I had an old POS Civic pull up next to me when I was with a honey, I let him speed up and pass by with his fart can and she said, "I think that POS was trying to race you". I just smiled and said nothing.
Sometimes I purposely throttle down to make them think that they are just as fast if not faster than you are lol.

i disagree with the rice... i wanted something louder and a lower rumble, so i got the hks hi-power... if anything, it sounds more rice now. after having both stock and hks, i'd say i like the hks better... i do agree that the stock sounds amazing... it just wasn't mean enough for me

Quote: I changed the exhaust on my sedan specifically to sound more like a coupe. Best OEM exhaust note in the mainstream market.
I would have to agree, ever since I traded my 04 FX35 for the G I have missed the same exhaust note. What did you end up putting on to get the Coupe G note? Was looking at the Stillen Cat Back setup, but don't really care about HP, but rather the note itself.

I have a neighbor with a nice 350z and I enjoy every morning that he drives by my house on the way to work.

after fast intentions exhaust and berk hfc's the G sound is totally gone.

I loved the G sound but too many out there and the sound became too common for me.

I still love hearing it and I could pick it out with my eyes closed.
