Does the stock exhaust sound too rice to you?

I notice whenever my wife is driving the car away from the house that I don't care for the exhaust sound. It doesn't bother me when I'm in it. It sounds too rice to me though when I hear it outside the car. I like a deeper rumble.
Anyone else?

i think its safe to say your in a boat of your own, the stock VQ exhaust is sex (most, if not all, will agree) but if you like a deeper rumble maybe its time for a HKS...

Definitely not. I like the clean high pitch sound that these cars make. To me, rice is a fart cannon.

+1. That's the first time I hear someone thinking the stock exhaust tone is ricey, lol. IMO, it's one of the most unique sounding exhausts, you can always tell when a G or an FX is coming down the road.

To me the G/Z has the best stock sounding exhaust note I've heard (save some exotics). I get complements on the way my stock exhaust sounds often. That's why so many people here strive to find an aftermarket exhaust which retains the stock sound.

I changed the exhaust on my sedan specifically to sound more like a coupe. Best OEM exhaust note in the mainstream market.

On my sedan I get told the exhaust sounds like the coupe but deeper, so HKS maybe the way to go. I have the HKS on mine with the coupe midpipe and love it..

And no the coupe sounds nothing like rice, Rice is when its loud for no reason. And we all know the mellow sound of the VQ.
