My Lowered G35 w/ clear corners

I just finished lowering my G35 this weekend with Eibach springs and I also installed the clear corner lights. On Monday I will be installing the aluminum pedals. By the end of the week I will install the Injen intake and also 20x9 and 20x10 inch Axis mod seven wheels. I will post updated pictures when the rims are on the car. Thanks for looking.

Re: My Lowered G35 w/ clear corners

nice...

looks really clean with the clear corners, plus the lowering is the perfect height, any lower would have been too much

Sweet ride djgcue. Beside Axis, have you consider other brand name rims?

I considered Racing Hart C4's, Volk Racing, and Blitz Technospeeds but all only come in 19 inch. I also considered Lowenharts BR5 in 20 inch but I'm not really into the chrome or polished look. I really like HRE's but I'm not looking to spend $1,300 per rim.

That is beautiful. It's just the perfect height I'm looking for and wheel gap when lowering it.

Re: My Lowered G35 w/ clear corners

The 5 Zigens are nice but I have 19" C5's on my Accord so I'm kinda tired of the "star" rims. I liked the Dazz Matiz and Blitz Technospeeds style rims so until one of these companies comes out with a 20" rim I'll settle for the "affordable" Axis wheels just for now.

The Eibach springs lowered my car about .9 of an inch in the fron not sure about the back the car has not settled yet either. I only have 10 miles on the new springs and 114 miles on my car, so I think it's gonna take me awhile to have the springs settle yet alone "breaking-in" my car.

Re: My Lowered G35 w/ clear corners

hey thats a sweet ride, just perfect man, not too low to scrape the bottom heh, just enough to get rid of the extra space in the wheel well

i have a Q though, is the Eibach set adjustable?

The reason i ask is that when the winter comes and i have mine lowered, i would want to raise it back up for ground clearance...is it possible with this set or should i wait for an adjustable set?

They are not adjustable...you need a coilover suspension for that...and they cost about 1600.00 $ and more.

Re: My Lowered G35 w/ clear corners

The car is not that low where you need to raise it for the winter months. I live in NY and this past winter I drove around in a J30 dropped 2 inches all around. I didn't have any issues really at all. The Coupe is only lowered about an inch all around and there should not be any problem.

DJ that is sweet. You haven't had your car that long so I guess I can't ask how it handles compared to stock . your right the car is going to settle and drop itself more. Probably be about 2" drop by the time it settles. I've had Eibach Grand Slams and sport lines on past cars. It took a couple months to fully settle.

Rambo - IMO it's better to get the coil overs. It's a setup that has struts and shocks matched up to the springs. In the long run it's better, all the suspension components will last longer. It's easier on the car too, breaks, tires etc....

Re: My Lowered G35 w/ clear corners

If you go for coilovers, make sure it's a strut/shock/spring combo. I had ground control coilovers with AGX adjustables in the past and the spring setup is noticeably noisier because of the short spring.
