It would be wise to get pins for an aftermarket hood. Ive seen a couple hoods myself smack the windsheild of other cars due to no pins...

I have aerocatch pins myself and love the design and look! Top quality over other pins IMO

 

I do not have pins and i have driven my car at very high speed many times. If your worried about it get the pins no more worries

 

K so seems like i should get pins....with the OEM CF should i get the aerocatch cf or the normal black ones? Lock or no Lock? Which one will look the best with the OEM CF Hood?

should i take the hood to get a clear coat before installing? i heard that seibon gets yellow really fast is exposed in the sun. Will a clear coat help the cf not turn yellow as quick? Anywhere in the bay area that will do the clear quote for cheap?
