Just bought my G35. Good deal or not?

Hello all, I've been lurking these forums for quite some time now, but I can now proudly say that I am a G35 coupe owner. I purchased a 2005,black G35 coupe , automatic transmission, with 44,800 miles on it (everything stock, no sports package), with new front two tires, new break pads, and rear tires with about 60-70% tread left. The carfax check was clean and belonged to only one owner.

Bought it for $16,500 before tax. It was below the kbb value, however, I'm sure you guys will have a better insight on what the true value is. Since I'm a recent college grad and working entry level, this was one of the first big purchases in my life. Hopefully, I got it for a good price. What do you guys think?

I don't get all the "Did I get a good deal" threads. Can you afford the car, do you like it, are you happy with the purchase?

These are the important questions you should ask yourself. "Good deal" is relative. If we say you got jacked are you going to be pissed and regret your purchase? If we say you got a great deal are you going to be happier with your car than you are right now?

You own a great car that should bring you many years of enjoyment if you take care of it so enjoy it and quit worrying about the little stuff.

OP I'm not picking on you specifically, but we see these threads all the time. It gets frustrating, like people need validation in their lives that they did something great. I enjoy what I have and don't give a flying fvck what other people think about my stuff. I like it, that's why I have it, and that's all that is important to me.

BTW Welcome to the family.

Welcome!

KBB is pretty much what I use to judge value, so if you purchased it below KBB, I'd say it was probably a good deal. A one-owner car is always a plus as well. You're not going to sell it anytime soon, right? So what's it matter if it was a great deal or not. You'll be enjoying the car so much you pretty much won't care what you paid to get it.

Couldn't you just say yes and make him feel better. jk
If your happy with your purchase and you can afford it then be happy, and on top of that if KBB says you did, then you did. Enjoy your ride. And welcome.

Welcome to DRIVER Kev....=D

That sounds like a good deal on an OB '05 coupe! Since you have access to the previous owner it would nice to know things like, have the fluids been changed and what kind of oil has been used. Welcome and enjoy your new ride.... Questions....remember SEARCH is your friend!

sounds like a good deal, i bought a 05 (really late model, second last month of them i believe) in November for 19,500 but its the 6MT and has the full sports package and everything but nav, and it has much less miles(sorta) it had about 26,000 miles when i got it, probably about 28,000 now (over 1200 miles were from the trip back).

anyways, enjoy the car and don't crash it. i've had it for 3 months, and haven't lost any love (and i still have winter wheels on it)

Compare to the prices here in NY that sounds like a good deal.
