It cost $230 to ship it from residence to residence with a lift gate. www.engineshippers.com

I am almost at 74,000 miles right now and my check engine soon light just came on. I tired to search but did not find anything either.
Does this light come on at any set amount of miles to try and get you to go service it? My dad said his car used to do that but I can not find anything about that in a G35.
Thanks!
PS: I checked the gas cap and it was closed.

I've got an 03 coupe w/ 98.5k mi and I've had a ton of problems...
-CD changer died/jammed. This was after it was already replaced once under warranty. So I just ditched it and got an aftermarket system, DD dash, headunit, sub, amp, speakers. $700 + labor
-Both lock actuators failed. $300 in parts + labor
-Both window motors failed: $360 in parts + labor
And then the usual of course, new battery, tires, brakes. I just hope the next 100k mi will be smooth than the previous! The problems I had were strictly electrical though. Mechanically the car is excellent

Ok, after taring my motor out and swapping it out with a new one, I found that the timing chain DID NOT break. What did happen was the key in the crank mounted timing gear sheered and the timing chain and the crank turned seperately. Or should I say the Crank turned and the timing chain didn't. Same result, different breakage.

Then look that up and see what the problem is.
As I have probably mentioned before my car is on a verge of 100k so I'm doing all kinds of 100k maintenance here and there.
Few weekends ago I changed the spark plugs, cleaned TB and Mass airflow censor. Weekend after that I replaced my shocks and struts and inspected my bushings and stuff (not a single worn out bushing btw). Tested the battery (OEM nissan battery still delivers top notch voltage). Did a fuel system cleaning with seafoam and next weekend going to do crank case and vac line cleaning, also changing dif fluid and transmission fluid.
And I still have OEM original drive belts, they are still in OK condition.
Went out last week to test the car after I did the cleaning. Was trying to see ho much it will spin if I pre load it. Usually I get a few spins and then it takes off. Last week I was able to spin through out the 1 st gear and into 2 nd (it's AT)
I'm even tempted to go dyno it again to compare the numbers to when the car was almost new.
So everything really comes down to the owner of the car. With proper maintenance it will last as long as you need it to.
