I called Sears and submitted a claim and most likely I will get them to pay for the damage. They messed up on the coolant exchange and left air in one of the hoses so the coolant was unable to get around.

I'm never coming back. -_-a

I totally forgot about this thread, but I wanna tell you guys what happened. So sadly, I took Sears to small claims court like 2 months after the incident, and they denied everything, and said that when I took in the car it had no oil and blah blah blah. They said it was my fault because I didn't care for it and whatever.

So I lost the case, and it wasn't until about March of this year that I finally purchased a used engine for the car. The car had just been sitting in the backyard with weeds growing next to the wheels. It was sad. But I'm glad I finally got it back up and running.

After doing my research, I found out that G35 engines consume the engine oil. I didn't know this until later and therefore was unable to care for it. Oddly enough, my car NEVER told me that it needed engine oil!

It's still weird though how when the mechanic that swapped the engines for me told me that the old engine had NO oil in it. It's weird because I hadn't used the car for more than a year and somehow the engine oil just disappeared? And I had just had my oil replaced! Where did the oil go?

If your engine consumes oil, it can be matter of days. In my case it was just a few minutes. My car (an 05 Accord) was consuming oil like there's no tomorrow. I drained out whatever oil left and just poured in new synthetic oil. Start it up and drove about a block and came back. The engine was making really loud noise. Had the car towed to shop. The mechanic checks the oil and said THERE'S NO OIL!!! WTF, I just put in 4.5 quarts a couple of hours ago. Long story short, I ended up replacing the engine.

BTW, the oil gets burned up and circulated through the air system.
