my nissan shop jacked up the price

i was going to get my oil changed today at the nissan shop like i have been for the past 4 or 5 oil changes for $20 (with coupon of course). i went in today and they said they no longer accept the coupons for the infinti's. i was like wtf! they said that the infiniti stealership jacked up their prices to $70 and so they had to jack their prices up too... $60. seriously?! if they jumped off the bridge will you do that too? such a shame. now i have to debate whether it's worth it to change my own oil or fork out the money instead of my time. sorry, just had to vent some.

Buy your own oil and go to a regular mechanic and just pay him to change it for you.. That's what I do.. Buy syntec + K&N filter (Around $28~ on sale) than add a $5 for my mechanic to change it.

Drop by Pep Boys and pick up several Mobil1 oil filters, head down the road to your local WallyWorld and pickup a jug of Mobil1 5W/30 synthetic oil. Either do it yourself or find an independent shop that will do it for you. Price is around $10 and while it's in the air they can check your tire pressure and fluid levels when it comes down....worth every cent!

I just bought my sedan a month ago. All you need is a ten mm socket, a drill, and the drain plug bolt socket. Forgot what size that was. The filter on our cars is supposed to be hand loosened and tightened. My cars first oil change was done by me and so will it's last oil change. I want it to love me and so i feed her what she craves. She's my baby and I love her, okay, i'm sorry, i'm getting carried away. The point is, it's a sinch and a very enjoyable experience with your car. Especially when you stop using those cheap oem oil filters the stealership throws on there. Oh yeah, stock up on drain plug gaskets too. Do it like a pro.
