Does anyone know of a place other than strictlyz.com that sells the license plate adapter for the front. I really dont want to spend $65 for a small aluminum sheet and some hardware.

It's not a small aluminum sheet, it's a thick metal backing plate. Trust me, I know it's pretty thick. Somebody ripped it off the adapter once already and had to get the snapped screw in the tow hook adapter extracted. The back plate is still good as new.

I've heard of of people making their own. You just have to get the thread size to the tow hook adapter. Do a search, I think the guy that made one included the thread size.

 

Here is some info if you want to make one yourself. It doesn't sound very hard.

I made my own too! It took 15min and almost looks like it is attached. The whole thing cost 7 bucks, bolt, strapping, and two screws. Got it all at Lowes!
