http://vancouver.en.craigslist.ca/va...639586591.html

Have been e-mailing with the sales person and have been sent to view a reconditioning report ( oil change done, new hoses, belts, rad flush ) and a carproof report. Inspection done by the dealership, but i havent seen or read that as yet. We have talked about extended warranty. Where we live in respect to the dealership is only 40 miles away but because we live on Vancouver island its a 1-1/2 ferry ride. Also we pay 12% in taxes. The market is slow here so im hoping that its possible to get the car with warranty in or around (or less ) $ 25,000.

Thanks..nervous prospective G owner

I have searched US cars but the cost dynamic is different in Canada...As i wrote we have 2 taxes here in British Columbia that total 12% with a purchase, so im many cases that amount maybe the best one can negotiate. Private car sales only pay one tax of 6% which they are talking about putting up another 5%...(@1^x~?).I havent found a car that meets my needs here in town but the stock is better in Vancouver....More 5ATs than 6MT...so this one is a bit of a stand out. The real bonus is we have the cash and are prepared that wait it out....

This....^....is easy to say unless you live in Canada. There prices are at least
30% higher than south of their border. I guess he could buy it stateside and
take it home but I don't know what that might involve.

I live in Victoria B.C. My 2005 6MT fully loaded except Navi was listed for $28,000 on sale from $29,000. Laser red, 65000kms, about a year ago. I negotiated $25,000 without trade in, $24, 500 with trade in. Just to give you something to compare with. *Canadian Prices All You US Peeps*

yeah if you got it for 25k its a pretty good deal. i paid 19,500 US for mine...i flew to the states and drove it back, only thing is, is not only do you pay GST and pst but you also have to pay 6.1% duty and 300 dollars in registration fees, then you have to have it safetied which is only 45 bucks in manitoba, but it all adds up.

I have the exact same options as you from what it looks like, you will be happy with it, beautiful car. Can't wait till i get the summer tires on mine, i just picked it up in November and the previous owner already had the winter tires on there
