I wouldn't do it if I were you, depending on how it was driven and maintained that many miles could cause you some major problems, I would deffinitly try and look for something with under 90,000 if you can, I got my 2003 with 60,000 in mint condition for 14,800. Thats not an incredible deal but it's not bad, Id reccomend looking for something with lower miles.

wow, thats like marrying a 70 year old, you just know your going to outlive em' (if your under 50)....dunno how that really relates, but at 112K miles your getting near the end, id save up for the funeral already. These engines can take 120K no problem, but not much more then 160K I don't think unless really babbied. So you can get about 45 or maybe even 60K out of it, but then its dead, here me, dead. The only money you will get back out of that will be either for scrap or for parting out. Pay like 2K more and you can get almost half those miles like the other guy said.
By the money you will get out of it, i was reffering to after the 45K-60K miles which will be put on in what? 3 - 5 years. Depending on how much you drive it.
plus, the car is probably pretty worn, lost a decent amount of power, I mean, idealy a car is broken and perfect running at about 10K miles, then runs quite well until about 50-60K miles depending on the car, after that, its all downhill to tell you the truth, repairs after 90K miles are pretty much inevitable.

WTF you talking about danielj. VQ can easily take 200k if properly maintained.
OP....nobody can answer your question properly cuz it all depends on the previous owner. If it was babied and properly maintained than there should not be any issues with this car, if not.........you are purchasing a time bomb.
In any case when purchasing a high millage car you should always:
Change all the fluids (engine oil, trans fluid, rear axle fluid)
Check belts and spark plugs
Check shocks and suspension (this you should actually do before you purchase to make sure there are no major repairs needed)
