What can i use to replace the shift ****?

My friend wants to redo (polish) my shift **** and needs a couple of days to finish polishing and clear coating it. In the mean time what can i use as a temp shift **** so i can still drive to work? This is my only means of transportation. Can i use a tennis ball or something?

I'm sorry, I hope that doesn't help. I would just not have a **** for a couple days and just shift with the bar. PITA, but will work until you get it back... Unless you have an OEM **** that you can use of course.

A tennis ball wouldn't last a day, drill out and tap a q-ball you may want to keep it....

good to see you have a friend who is willing to polish your ****, mine are all homophobic. =-D haha anyway, if its just temporary, just wrap the hell out of the shift rod with elec/duct tape so its comfortable. itll look terrible but its only for a few days like you said
