AFTERMARKET OEM STYLE REAR SPOILER?

Hello,

Have any of you bought your G35, without the rear spoiler, and add a OEM style aftermarket one later on? If so, is there much of a difference in between the OEM and aftermarket in terms of shape and size?

I'm planning to buy my 6MT G without a rear spoiler and add it on later (either purchasing from an online site or Ebay). Those of you with aftermarket OEM spoilers, would you please post any pics? Thanks.

Same question here... my main concern is if there are quality difference between the aftermarket, OEM, or after-market OEM ones... is it really... YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR? Since there are big price differences... Anywhere from low 100s to 500 dollars for the spoiler... any advice?

Thanks!

My 04 coupe didnt come factory with a spoiler, but then had dealer instal before I picked up the car. It cost me 900 bucks, but I know that its the right one(color etc)

900 wow.. most of the people out there claim to have perfect color matching.... I heard something along the lines of the material being different though? Or perhaps some sort of material differences that would warrant such a much lower price ?

Before buying an aftermarket spoiler you may want to check into swaping trunklids with someone who doesn't want theirs. I've seen a few people on this board including myself looking to swap a trunklid with a spoiler for one with out, and the interior pieces to make it look right.

i just bought an aftermarket spoiler from a member on the forum, it was originally bought from spoilerdepot i think. For the price difference, its not worth going with the factory, the paint matches fine and it seems to be well built. I am willing to take my chances and save over 300 dollars.

The main problem with swapping trunklids is that you now may have an entire trunk that doesnt match instead of just a spoiler that doesnt. This would be most likely to happen with the dark colors that have seen a lot of sun......just a thought....I have considered spoilers too.

Ya.....there is a difference between the OEM LEDs and aftermarket's LEDs. there is 2-3 inches shorter with the LEDs, but i won't spend that extra 300 bucks on that. It can't really be visible by other people. The rest of it such as quantity and stuffs. I think they are similar to the factory one.

Re: AFTERMARKET OEM STYLE REAR SPOILER?

I'm in the market for purchasing either OEM or after market wing. Looking for the best looking, and saw this one from ING's. If those of you went with aftermarket OEM, are you still pleased with product, and where did you purchase?

Thanks

any decent body shop should be able to match the paint perfect since its new paint and hasnt even really been weathered yet.

Re: AFTERMARKET OEM STYLE REAR SPOILER?

Mine did not come with the OEM spoiler and I did consider aftermarket spoilers, but what really turned me off on the knockoffs, was that many did not come with any template or instructions, were poorly constructed, and almost universally, did not have diffusers. I am glad I chose to go with the Infiniti OEM spoiler. I like the style. Think it looks great! Like the mod.
