But only once each time.. like after i go foward and it makes the cleck sound, then i will never hear it again until a reverse the car again and put it on drive. I had this before. apparently its something in the rear axle. i took it to the infiniti dealership and they just had to clean it. mine doesnt click anymore! it should be covered by warranty. (my car is 2007). i've read on this forum that others have had it. dont worry, your car is not breaking

Take it to nissan man. I had them do it for me as soon as I was out of warranty for $160 (if I remember correctly). This can be a DIY as well (as Blue Dream stated).

And if it comes back nissan will fix it again for nothing (within 18 months of the initial fix).

Yeah they know exactly what the issue is. Take it to them and let them know you want the rear axel clicking fixed. It's a common problem in 350's as well. If they quote you more to fix it then let them know that you've spoken to friends that had this same issue fixed on their g35 at Modern Nissan of Lake Norman (NC) for $160. It's fairly easy to get the price down with some simple negotiation (should you need to).
