so i just noticed this issue recently since the weather has been nice enough to roll the windows down. when i use the auto up feature on the passenger side window the window rolls all the way up, then rolls itself back down about 5-8 inches. this happens just about every time i use the auto up on the passenger side. when i hold the button partially up (so the auto up feature isnt used), it doesnt roll itself back down when i release the button. is this the early stages of the window motor dying? im still under warranty, so im sure the dealer will replace it no problem, im just wondering if anyone else has had this happen?

dealer will replace it or reset it. This just happened to me today with my replacement motor on my driver's side. I hate working on a military base because of these ****ty *** window motors. I have to roll mine up and down everyday no matter the weather, it sucks.

It should just need a resetting. I asked this question last week somewhere on here.

it only needs a reset. If it still rolls up and down, the motor is still in working condition. Many dealership will just simply replace it since the procedure for resetting it is a little confusing. Easy fix if you're familiar with taking the door panels off.

I have reset my passenger window motor a couple times now within a 3 year period. It needs to be reset again ...but I'll probably give the internals some cleaning as well and kill two birds with one stone.

Quote: the reset button is located on the motor housing, you need to pull the door panel off.
