www.HIDExpress.com I personally was looking at the D2R 8000K on the site, kind of pricey though... also check out www.plasmagarage.com
Not really sure about legalitys of them, I'm sure they're DOT approved. When you do change remember to get D2R(reflective) and not D2S(projection) the D2S will be very bright to on coming traffic from what I understand.

I'm not too sure about 6000k being illegal, but I believe the best ones you can get are Ultinons made by Philips. The cheapest I've seen them are at suvlights.com for $280.

Re: I wanna do a HID upgrade
4300K are white-ish blue, 6000K are blue, 8000K are bright blue, and 10,000K are purple (it's a spectrum of light). I'm not sure about the legality of it, but honestly....I don't think a cop is gonna pull you over and be like, "Hey, your Xenons are a little too blue for the road."
Keep in mind that as you get a higher color temperature (such as 6000K vs 4300K) you lose actual brightness/illumination. The higher the temperature, the less the illumination.
I want to upgrade to a pair of 6000K D2R bulbs as well, but I think our Xenon headlights are bad enough and I don't want to make them worse. =(

Re: I wanna do a HID upgrade
I have a pair of the "Xetronic" 6000K bulbs in my car. They look awesome!! Not purple at all, bluer than before with a very very little hint of green. I also have a pair of the "Xetronic" 8000K bulbs which are a much deeper blue, NOT purple at all. But it was too blue for me and I started loosing light intesity, so I put the 6000's back in.

I dunno where you live, but cops will definately pull you over and hassle you for blue HID's. Here in California, they've been cracking down on "Super White" halogen bulbs for years. Most ricers don't have them anymore, but the few that do get tickets for having "blue headlights" all the time. Some folks with stock HID's have been pulled over and cited for having "blue headlights".
6000K and any other higher color temperature HID bulbs are 100% illegal. Only the stock HID bulbs are legal for street use in the US. So it's up to you to take the risk.
