Road Noise/Bass Rattle Reduction

Hello all,

I have wanted to install some sort of noise reduction material in my coupe. The road noise is horrific on 35 series tires and also the STOCK Bose system does a pretty good job of rattling the door panels on my cheap 03 interior. What options do I have besides not driving or listening to music? Lol. I have heard of Dynamat and Second Skin. I've also read the thread "Rattle exorcism" but I'm looking for something a little more in depth as opposed to going after individual rattles. I primarily listen to trance and rap (yes, they are polar opposites) and the constant bass is beginning to rattle the interior more and more. Any advice and/or other options would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

I bought a Dynamat trunk kit for $99 shipped on Ebay and used it when I installed my stereo in my '03 G35 Coupe last week.

I pulled off the panel on the trunk lid and dynamatted that whole area. Also did both door panels and the area around the rear speakers. That consumed the whole kit, but I have minimal rattles and I think it's coming from the rear deck.

I also stuffed some old couch foam into the cavities behind the rear speakers too to help reduce overall noise.

I'd start with the simple things that I've done and see where that leaves you.

I've found the majority of the rattle comes from the top piece of lining in the trunk, underneath the speakers. If I push it up and hold it the noise is considerably less, but as is, there is a really bad rattle.

I'm going to take it off tomorrow and try to mat it up, I have some foam matting.

ok my car was hit but was fixed, alot of noise seems to be coming from the rear drive side door which was fixed.....there looks to be a gab where the metal is still kinda bent inward to you think this is the problem because the rubber on there is still tight ....sort of.... and my sisters 05 is way quieter any ideas of a cheap!!!!! fix for this just temporary i was thinking of dynamat for the whoe of just messing with it....yea im lost

Wow after reading over my own post I almost flamed myself! Pls Ignore the above, I'll leave it for a reference for new members who are really bad at being descriptive like I used to be. Like I said My car what damaged near the rear passenger door but only the door itself was replace. When open the dent is still viewable. The weather seal on the door is fine so is the interior lining, however, the road noise is ridiculous! Im getting both bearings on that side replaced hopefully that will make a difference.
