My Tips ended up the same way... I'm planning on getting under there and putting the Dremel Metal cutting disc to the pipes..

I'm going to look into the left over welds like the other guy mentioned

i didn't have this issue with mine..fully adjustable...it shud be the same but i have the titanium burnt tips..

I ended up using an angle grinder to shorten the tips and then reinstalled. Fit perfectly after triming them back.

YEA I have the rolled burnt tips... Wonder if there's a difference in the inside

My ROLLED TITANIUM Tips

**BEFORE**

**THE REASON**

The inside of the Rivots is whats preventing the tips from sliding further back. Here is an inside view.

**THE FIX**
The passenger side only took a little bit of muscle to get the tip's rivots past the edge of the pipes.

The Driver side for me took alittle bit more work... I just simply took my dremel and grinded the contact side of the rivots down to a slight angle just to clear the pipes edges a bit easier.
