Invidia Gemini Exhaust installed... Tips stick out too far?

Hey guys, we just installed the new Invidia Gemini Catback on my buddys 03 coupe and it sounds awesome!! my only concern is how far out the tips stick out from the back of the car. it seems like the tips should be able to slide farther back onto the pipes about another 2 inches but a lip inside the Rolled stainless tips (included in the kit) is preventing it from doing so. am i missing anything?? everything else lines up perfectly. the only thing i can think of is to cut back the end of the exhaust by about 2 inches so that the tips sit closer into the car.

yea they are fully loosened.... there is a lip inside the tip that is physically limiting the tip from going on any further... sound clip is from just after installl it will be alot louder once its broken in... sorry for the wind noise...

Yea you've got to figure out a way to get those tips back under there. It looks silly the way it is. GL with it though.

Woops....! If you can't make the adjustment yourself take it to a muffler shop and have them make the adjustment....not many choices!

Did you try to flatten the lip out? You could try taking them off and putting them on backwards use a block of wood and pound them on (gently) to flatten the lip out then you may be able to slide them back further. Post up some pics of the inside of the tips.

I didnt have any problems fitting mine, if the pipes comming from the muffler are too long then any decent exhaust shop should be able to cut them back with an angle grinder.

Also, when your putting the tips back on make sure they turn the clamps upside down to hide the bolts

How do you find the noise from this system btw?

You need to dremel out the little left overs on the inside.

That's what I did and if you do that then it will be ok

You don't have to cut all the 2 inches but just the little left overs from weldings

If you have any question, just PM me or post it here
