Feedback on limo tint.

I have an 06 OB coupe and I am planning to tint my windows about 15% or 20% all around but I'm leaning more towards 15%. I just wanted to know how much of a difference it would make driving at night. Would you be able to see alright out at night? Have you gotten pulled over yet or do cops do not really care, b/c I see people with illegal tint all the time.

Pics of 15%-20% tint would be awesome.

In your title your asking about limo tints, but you say your going with 15% tints . I have limo tints on my coupe and i love how it looks, i think it would look good on OB too. however at night it is hard to see out, and almost impossible to see behind you if your not in a well lit area.

It all comes down to personal preference and whether or not you wouldn't mind putting your windows down whenever you need to see behind youu.

^ agreed with that guy, what are you talking about?

Definition of limo tint is 5% two times over.

I personally think 5% tint looks like ****, I think it's far to dark and makes the car look weird. No offense to anyone with dark tint.

I suggest 15% it's what I've done on all my cars.

I have limo tint in the back two windows and the rear and when backing up out of a driveway or parking lot at night, if its not well lit, it is IMPOSSIBLE to see anything. The only way I've been coping is through a rear view camera and the license plate LEDs. I would recommend 20% or 15%

I was told that under 20% was considered "limo" but I guess I was wrong. Anyways, how is 15% at night?

haha I bought the car with 15% got a ticket though ehhh *** it i'm goin 5% all the way around. Did it and I love it. no one can see in the car (which is why I went 5). I'm in STL so night driving isnt bad. vision is clear at night even on highways. Just if you leave and go into the country be weary of backing up. I have found out that rolling the windows down makes it much easier :P I can post pics of the 5% if you want.

I have 20% on my IP and I love it. nice dark look i was going for with some visibility lol. nighttime driving is not too bad but visibility is reduced. stick with either 15% or 20%

I was metered at 7% on my old Mazda. I'd been ready to retint to a lighter shade, but then I had an accident that totalled the car. Anyway -- the dark tint on my Mazda made seeing at night nearly impossible. I liked the look of it at first, but then came the reality of living with it .. and it sucked!

I have 20% on my G now, and IMO, it's the perfect balance. It's still dark, but within reason, and I have no problem seeing at night anymore.

If you wanna see pics of it, just look through the album in my profile.

I put limo on my quarter panel and rear windows and it looks awesome. The heat reduction is awesome, and at no matter what time of day it looks sick. It is a little hard to see out the back at night, especially since i live in a dark part of town, but eventually you learn what to keep an eye out for. I was very skeptical at first but it was a great decision. It really helps contrast my paint color (CB) and would look really good on your OB coupe. I would have done limo on the front windows, but Texas law makes that illegal. Good luck with the decision!

yeah i have an OB coupe and i have full limo all around. As everybody else have said, you pretty much can't really see out at night when reversing, so i have to roll down my windows when backing out.

I literally turn down the music, roll down both windows and back out slowly while listening for screams, cries and my rear bumper hitting anything. haha.

Call me old fashioned, bud I'd recommend keeping it a bit lighter. If you stick with a high quality tint and go with around 25%, the car will look great. Blacked out is played out these days.

20% up front and 5% rear was my setup. At night, I can still see out of the front windows without any issues yet dark enough to not see into the car.

15% is good. I have that all the way around and it can get a little hard at night but for the most part I have no problems.

I have 5% all the way around, but the windshield. I wouldn't have it any other way.
