anyone on this forum have the stillen test pipes on their car? i currently have the kinetix test pipes and it sounds like crap. then i was told to go with xerd since they dont have the bb's in a can sound (thanks martin). i called and found out that they were out of business so the dealers said that they couldn't get them anymore. well now want to go with something else, but found out the helix test pipes are the same as the kinetix. no one has said anything about the stillen test pipes though. any reviews on them. anything would help since i am about to buy a used set from another forum member but dont want to pay for them if they are gonna be just like the kinetix. thanks in advance! also is the sedan and coupe cats the same???

 

I believe all test pipes will sound the same. I think your looking for a test pipe with a resonator. Do you have the kinetix test pipe or the other test pipe with the resonator?

well a test pipe is just a pipe. It may change sound by increasing or decreasing the sound, but it generally sounds the same. Try the Kinetix test pipe with the resonator.

I just emailed xerd this week and got a response from them, didn't sound like they were out of business. In fact they said that they had a o2 simulator that would cure my service engine light soon problem with my race pipe on my 2004.5 coupe.

 

ok cool! i guess i am gonna have to try and contact xerd myself. pretty odd though that 4 different xerd dealers told me that they were out of business. well thanks!

 

you can get resonated ones...or have some added in...
