At least around here, the cops only use Ka and laser, I dont have to worry about it unless I hear the Ka go off because 95% of the time my Ka goes off its a cop. When the X and K go off I ignore it.

I've used both..both are top of the line...but the v1 has let me down twice in the past three months..some of which may be my fault...i prefer the passport x50..i also ordered the zr3 shifter to go alone with the x50...i'm sure it will help...
