Took the car to the beach and ran into a curb and scraped the paint off the bottom of the front fascia. I feel like such a tool! As you were.

yea my front end is beat up pretty bad. Sigh

Well this story has a happy ending! I used some compound on it and it turns out it was the white paint from the curb on there istead of primer like I first thought. It just sucks cause I am always worried about other people messing up my car and I end up doing it myself.

Somehow it's easier to swallow when you do it yourself. Other wise you'll end up killing someone! If you screw it up yourself, you're just like....."what an arsehole I am"....and move on!

 

There is something to be said about driving a beater car. I have my wife's '97 accord (most people would say it's not a bad car). I have been waiting driving this pos. I don't care where I park or who I park next to. If I see a scratch I shrug my shoulders and say oh well. In January that will be a different story......

i have scraped my bottom driver side bumper along a curb in SF.. when i first saw it, i felt like crap.. then i just covered it up with touch up paint and didn't think about it again =P

I'm in the exact same situation. 'cept it's my car and I still baby it. I'm extremely paranoid about dings and suspicious of any other car in a parking lot. I guess u could say I'm practicing for my new car. I better get a good price for it (probably private party) tho... it's gonna pay for some upgrades...
