I don't know about the G's but my friends with Stangs used to do it themselves. I believe they took the wheel off and used an aluminum bat on the inside edge to roll it in. Work in small increments, you don't want to do too much at once. I would probably advise to wrap the bat with tap or even a long sock to prevent scratches.

Re: Place to roll fenders?

I never had any experience in rolling the fenders. I just don't want to make any cracks on the paint.
well.. so far I still can't find the best place to get it done. anyone?

Re: Place to roll fenders?

Actually you keep the tire on and jack the car up just enough to get some wheel gap to fit the bat in. Then slowly by lowering the bat and rolling back and forth you bend the lip in. Of course this is the low budget way and the most risky. I know some shops actually have fender rolling tool that bolts onto the studs of where the wheel is after you remove it. The it has a roller and a screw that you tighten to apply more and more pressure to the lip to bend it as you roll the toole back and forth. I have seen it on some other forums. No matter waht you run the risk of cracking the paint. So you should do it slowly and preferably while the car is in the sun and the sheet metal and paint are at a higher temp. Hope this helps.
