5AT please Chime in.

I think i might be having tranny issues i dunno. I checked my fluid, it is at the correct level and a beautiful clear pink color. Ok when i am on the highway if i am at speeds of 75mph in D and if i shift it over into Manual Mode it will be in 4th is this normal? Also for some reason when i go through the gears n manual from 4th to 5th i barely feel the shift. Please help me.

its normal. i believe 5th gear is just for "cruising", so driving on 4th is normal.

Yeah, for some reason when you switch from D to MM, it'll put you in a gear lower than you think you should be in, lol. I don't ever put mine in D though, so I don't know much about it.

When you shift from auto to manumatic it automatically downshifts. And normally you shouldn't feel the shift from 4th to 5th unless you are shifting above 4500 rpms from 4th to 5th.

Unless you put in the transgo shiftkit the 4-5 shift is pretty hard to notice. After the shift kit its much more noticeable over 3500 rpms.

No its perfectly fine... As long as you aren't taking it to Redline every single time, you should be fine... These are the same Transmissions that were used in the Q45... They can take more power very easily...

Its fine. I shift to MM on highways only (i'm too lazy to use mm in local los angeles traffic. jeebus i'm glad i didn't go 6mt). I prefer it to go to 4, since I usually remember to mm it when I'm trying to pass cars anyway.

on another note, forgot that i switched the + and the - on it and I downshifted and made my engine roar on local streets. i swear, people were looking at me moving at like 10mph but screaming bloody mary.

what you mean switch? you mean push back for up shift, and up for downshift?

i remember when i tried mm for the first time. i played too much initial d arcade games, so i thought pulling back ont he shifter will make it shift up, and i kept doing that to my g, and i was like wtf why is my engine screaming so loud but not going faster lol
