so im taking the g in tomorrow morning to get some stuff fixed..
1. strange exhaust noise at 1600rpm
2. driver door creaks
3. passenger seat doesnt auto slide back to its original position after i fold it forward (not normal right?)
4. loose driver seat

i have like 600 miles on the g, is this normal???

For the strange ehxaust sound at 1600rpm do you mean like a high pitched metallic vibration sound? Kind of hard to explain but I get this noise at low rpm too sometimes, although I think it's normal.

my passenger seat does the same, i don't think it goes back to normal when the door is closed or if you most the seat's back too far back

thats exactly it! but how can it be normal? it didnt do it til very recently. a mechanic at infiniti said it wasnt normal and that he never heard another g do it?!? maybe you should take it in too.

Do you have the parking brake on? If not, apparently the seats will not go back automatically. This happened to me when I first bought the car too. I have no idea why this is the case, but it hasn't happened since.

That's strange, because I only noticed it a couple of times while the car had about 500 miles on it and the engine was cold, but now it seems to have stopped. I thought it was normal because it sounded like the exhaust was rattling a little at that rpm, but maybe it's something else. I'll ask next time I go in for my oil change.

Did the dealer take a look at yours? It might have just been the exhaust expanding or something, and the car was still new so maybe that had to do with it (?)

i brought it in today... and they say they dont hear anything... they kept it overnight.

I sure hope so :P I heard it slightly this morning when the car was cold, but it's much weaker than before.

got the g back today...
turns out the noise was the heat shield rubbing on the muffler.
seat was tightened...
and driver door still creaks, anyone got a fix?
