Tweeter buzzing and system shuts down...
Hi All,
Installed one Image Dynamics CTX65CS woofer and tweeter on the passenger side of my 2005 G35 coupe (stock non bose system). Only did one side so far because I ran out of time and haven't had a chance to install the other side. Everything has been fine for the week. Today has been the first warm day in a while (80 degrees). Not sure if that fact has anything to do with anything, but I figured I'd mention. Started up my car, and the new tweeter was buzzing. Shut off the car, no buzzing. Doesn't matter if the radio is on or off, still buzzes. Only buzzes when car is started After a few minutes, all the speakers shut off, and so did the buzzing. Lights on the HU are still on, but no sound anymore. Before I start tearing things apart to figure out the issue, anyone have ideas on where I should look? I know I installed the wires correctly, double checked them all and didnt do any crazy splicing or anything that would cause a short. Simply connected the old speaker wires to the crossover, and wires directly from the tweeter and the woofer to their correct spots.
Thanks for the help!

I tried to post there but it said I didn't have permission? Well, I figured out the problem (I think). The terminals on the speaker were close to the hole in the door, and I'm thinking they were making contact and causing a short. I insulated the terminals and all the speakers are back on line. Whew.
