Very sorry for your loss. I think all of the "family's" comments above were very well intentioned (I didn't get to see the deleted one). I hope that in time your wound will be healed, but unfortunately they often leave a large scar. I am a physician, and have all too often been on the side of "delivering the message" to the family. Trust me, it is painful from this side, too. Be well.

Sixone,
I just read this and am truly sorry for your loss. I lost a best friend 3 years ago in a car accident at age 48. This guy had spent a lifetime working his *** off building a business and retired after selling it for many millions just 13 months before being killed by someone running a red light.
This was so unfair, and I was really angry for a long time. But it changed me and my approach to life. I used to be a diligent planner and saver, worrying that I may not have "enough" in the future. I now realize how fragile life is, and I live every day as full as I can. I travel to new places and try new things every chance I get. I now concentrate on the positive and cherish every day because it could be my last.
It is always a terrible thing to go through, but you will make it through. Just try to stay as active as you can, and keep busy doing things you enjoy. It helps smooth it out. Take care.
