Ima jump on a G soon!
Do you prefer to shift or not?

Whats up bro, I just got my 2006 black on black coupe manual not to long ago and I was wondering the same thing like traffic and stuff. Honestly whence you get the feel of your car and give it some time to adjust to your car traffic is no problem. shifting is actually more fun and if you love driving and feeling your car like me then stick shift all the way.
The only thing I have had annoy me is my girlfriend telling me " this isnt a girlfriend car". its louddd you, cant hold my handd cuz your shifting, etc hahahahahahah So now we take her 3 series everywhere

Honestly, I wish I had gotten an auto. Most of my driving is in traffic so its not that much fun with constant stop and go. I rarely get to enjoy rowing the gearbox all the way through. And the transmission is not very forgiving on these cars. It took me quite a while to be able to shift smoothly, and I still jerk the car from 1st to 2nd sometimes. I would say drive both and see how you like them before making a decision.
