Here's the deal guys, I'm in the market for a g35, and I'm almost ready to buy one but the only thing that is stopping me is if I should go auto or stick
The only reason to buy the auto is because it's easier and more comfortable.
i will be doing mainly city driving so i'm leaning towards the auto, and if i wanna have some fun i will just pop it in the sport shift mode.
Reason for manual, it would be so much more fun, but also could be a pain in the city.
What do you guys think? To the guys that bought an auto, do u wish you had manual? or vise versa
Thanks
Armin

I had both. They are both nice. But I dont regret getting my 6mt after I got it.

living in So Cal and dealing with its associated traffic, the same dilemma ran through my mind. In the end I went w/the 6MT. I have zero regrets. I find that rowing through the gears is a joy whether I'm winding it out the freeway onramp or going from street light to street light. And there's nothing like executing the perfect heel and toe into a tight turn.

i have the 5at. I drove a stick for 13 years. do i miss it. sometimes. but for everyday driving especially in traffic. i like the auto.
hmmmm...
its a hard choice i think i might just get the auto.
for all you guys with the auto, how good is the tiptronic, i have yet to use it, i've only driven a manual g35

if you like to drive get the 6mt... you actually drive it.. you don't push a pedal and go.. you feel the power, if any, but you up and downshift accordingly and YOU make the car drive how YOU want it.. when i take my car in the dealership they give me a 5at sedan... i honestly hate the 5at sedan. i would never ever in a million years ever get it.. they shouldn't even call it a G35.. it is so torque 'e' off the line ... when you step on it, it really puts u in ur seat... but when u let off the gas and step on it again.. it lags for a second and it gets confused what gear it's in.. to each his own.. i hope the sedan owner don't flame me.. i've seen some really sick sedans.. but by the time they look siick, they barely look like the car was when it rolled of the lot... just my $.02.. BTW.. i have never driven a 6mt sedan... maybe it's different..

got mine 6mt and never looked back. i have driven auto g's and they are nice but it still is lacking imo
Yeah That is really holding me back
I wanna be able to control the car, not push the pedal and let it
think for second and then give me power. But I don't think it would be
very relaxing and a comfortable ride. I guess what I want isn't really possible

I got 6MT and dont regret it besides the master cylinder being replaced 3 times. It's more fun to drive the car the way YOU want.

if you can drive a 6MT do it.. most the guys that have a 5at either can't drive one or they are too lazy.. don't be lazy.. Originally Posted by Armin'sG
