our 5ats are crisp and very responsive, dont be dumb and think the g's 5at take 5 seconds to shift down like that ****ty CLK that my parents also have lol
Wait, so you haven't read my posts before then. i have already driven both. I don't whats your point for posting that, I cant decided so I decided to make a thread on here, if you think theres no point then why did you comment?

I was driving it and i was upshifting and is was SOOOO unresponsive. My mom doesn't like her at all, he is trading it in for a CL. Anyways when i drove the auto g35 it was better than the CLK but its still an auto. I'm not hating on autos i might get one since i cant find any manuals but im still willing to wait. This thread has really change my views, it all depends which g35 i get a good deal on.

well I bought my G brand new and I had an rsx type s before. I chose auto for various reasons, and those reasons faded in the long run and I wish I had chosen the 6mt now, I live in the valley so it would have been fun.

I will garantee you that there isn't an MT driver on this forum that can shift quicker than an AT with either a SprintBooster or valve body upgrade. It is humanly impossible to push in the clutch shift the gear and release the clutch quicker than the auto can shift. For the person who thinks that an MT is a more economical car, the auto is a CVT transmission. The specific function of the CVT is better fuel mileage.

G is not a sports car... GT = Luxury > Sports

I've had two 5AT G35's in the past and now one 6MT. I've enjoyed both, except now I can't eat sandwiches and flip through my CD's while driving anymore.

I will keep reminding people 5AT is still fun to drive. And you absolutely should mod 5ATs. And you should race them. And you should build them speciafically to make the cocky 6MT guys cry when you smoke them.

For those who are on the fence or aren't cocky 6MT guys, ignore this =)

We do not have a CVT type of trans in the g's.

My Bad!!! I was in fact incorrect about the auto being a CVT. I bought my G35 5AT coupe in December of 2002 so I don't consider myself a noob. Just mistaken on the type of auto.

lol... good save ^

I bought a 6MT, and I absolutely love it.

I think if you're a big car enthusiast then you wont mind shifting through gears all day, you won't even realize shifting in a few months anyway, it becomes natural.
