Will opaque black gtr overlay look good on an OB coupe?

Will an opaque black gtr style tail light overlay look good on an OB coupe? Here is a example:

The reason I ask is because, I have never seen these overlays in person and they are going to look totally different from stock. I looked at plenty of photos but still haven't reached to a conclusion. I need your guys' input. I just wanted to make sure they look good on a black car before I pay $100 for installation.

It looks good except for the reverse cutouts. Why is is so big....lol... That ruins the overlay IMHO.

For the reason above, you're better off painting your tails.

Here are k67p67's coupe tails painted.

The gloss, shine, and reflection is much better with paint.

^ I could not dis agree with you any more, I think color matched tails really sharpen the look of the rear end on both coupes and sedans.

Idk I think I have to go with JibberJabber on this one. I think the only color it looks alright with is OB as long as they are painted.

Calvin's pic of the painted tails looks way better than overlays! The difficult part w/b finding someone to do it right for a resonable cost....

I have this exact same look but its an overlay. Does it really make a big difference by painting them? I mean The overlay is shiny and reflects as well. I don't want to paint my tails and not like them with no spare ones to put back on.

if you zaino your bats overlays they shine just fine. Plus overlays can be removed, so should you decide you dont like them or want to sell, your only out 40 bucks.

Is it permanent shine or do I have to frequently shine it with this zaino stuff.
