I apologize if there is already a thread about this subject. However I was unable to find it.


I drive a 2003 coupe 6mt. My steering wheel has become a little worn as of recent and is looking really ugly! I have been looking into getting it recovered or replaced. While I believe getting it recovered is a good option. However, I am afraid the colors would be a little far off from the rest of the interior.

So what I would really like to do is replace the steering wheel with a stock one. As money is an issue. I would prefer something lightly used. When I have searched I have not found coupe steering wheels in grey. But I have found plenty of sedan steering wheels.

So I am asking are the two steering wheels the same. Do they use the same airbag? Would it just be simpler to keep looking for a matching coupe steering wheel?

I don't have a clue, but I'm curious what the answer is. Try asking this question in the Interior thread in the Tech Section as well.

The airbags are interchangable, not sure about the outside portion of the steering wheel.

Sorry for the thread revival as im also interested to know the answer, reason is i have a V35 Skyline with no steering wheel controls, looking to upgrade to a G35 Steering wheel w/ all the controls.

Also just out of interest, what buttons are on the steering wheel? Cruise control? Bluetooth? etc etc.

Are the 03-04 different to 05-07, and are coupe and sedan interchangable?
