Rear Spoiler installed Crooked

Well i just got my rear spoiler installed, its an aftermarket from spoilerdepot.com. I got it installed at my dealer b/c i thought naturally they would know what they are doing. Well i did some measuring b/c something seemed off and one side is indeed up higher on the trunk by 1/2 an inch. No one seems to notice but me so i dont know if i am being **** about it or if it is something i should really complain about. The holes are already drilled in to the trunk so i dont know what could be done anyways. So what do you all think?

it's a piece of mind when u think about bad installs. it just runs thru your head all day long as long as u have it like that.
i dont think i'd be satisfied at all.
even if other people dont notice it's crooked, it doesnt really matter cuz i kno myself that it's crooked.

Re: Rear Spoiler installed Crooked

they'll probably blame it on the aftermarker spoiler...

yeah those bastards, i am going to call them up and complain about this. its not really noticeable but it will be on my mind. i don't see how they could blame it on the spoiler since its aftermarket but who knows what they will pull out of their ***. At the moment however its the least of my worries since hurricane jean seems like its coming my way. I'll try to get it taken care of soon hopefully.

Re: Rear Spoiler installed Crooked

the dealer was infiniti of coconut creek. i spoke to them today and they said that this is common with the aftermarket spoilers they sell and install and all aftermarkets in general. they claim that they are not the exact same size as the factory. i am skeptical but does anyone know of this being true? when i go in for an oil change in about 1,000 miles they said they will look at it and if it can be fixed they will. dealer is kind of far from me to go and say they can;t do anything.

Re: Rear Spoiler installed Crooked

Isn't that just bolted up using a few studs/bolts through the
trunk lid? If so, take a rounded file and file <1/4" forward on
one side, and <1/4" backward on the otherside (making sure
the hole will be still covered by the seals) and move the
spoiler around until you are happy with the alignment.

Then, put on new seals, touch up the bare metal (most
installers don't do this anyway so kill 2 birds with one stone)
bolt it down, walla!
