Passenger window
Passenger window
Alright guys, got a problem and it seems different then other window problems. I was on my way home and decided to close the windows. I hit the auto up and the driver side close and the passengers didn't. I didn't have the windows open all the way so I tried opening and closing the passengers window from both switches, but no luck. I then tried using the roll down feature on the key fob, that worked, and both driver and passenger windows rolled down, but the passenger window will still not roll up, so it is stuck in down position (yay everyone come and break into my car)
So anyways, I now have the whole door panel off and the motor out and I'm looking at it, nothing seems wrong, and it doesn't seem very dirty at all, I tried pressing the reset button but i'm not sure which one it is, none of the diy show which is the reset button.
Anyways, where should I go from here, clearly the motor works because it rolled down, did it maybe just need a reset or do I need new parts.
Also when i tried rolling the window up the first time it made a cracking noise, but when i opened it up I do not see any broken pieces or anything at all? and the window still rolled down after this btw. Could it be a fuse somewhere?

really, no one knows the answer to this one?
I cracked her open, can't see anything wrong, did the reset and doesn't seem to be working?

ok, so i was able to roll it up with no problems at all using the keyhole on the drivers side door. So i know the motor is not out, so it must be a fuse or something. like i said, i thought i heard something pop.
did you have the window lock pressed?! lol

What was the fix because this is my second passenger power window motor that is going bad on me.. It's showing signs of not going down when I press the switch. Could it be that I need to change the tracks that hold the window? SOMEONE HELP, I'm getting tired of these stupid *** problems
sorry to hear about all the problems but our cars or infinitis in general are infamous for having power window and lock problems. Just got my power lock fixed after it going bad twice.....
