Money'd up, ready to buy!

Hey guys, just wanna say ive been reading for a long time, just now joined because i need to do a post.
So pretty much, i got my first G, its an 06 coupe 5AT and i wanna do some mods
I wanna get a single turbo but keep the boost low enough to not have to get new pistons

I was thinking Injen CAI, Greddy Ti C exhaust, Stillen Headers, and a Kinetix plenum
and then a greddy single turbo

can anyone offer some other mods/alternatives to what i should do?
Info in list form would be best
thanks

Not talking from a "G" stand point cause i'm still kind of a newb myself to this scene. But from a tuning stand point I thing going with a turbo with little boost so "you dont have to buy new pistons" is the wrong choice.

Your thinking of a turbo for power I'm assuming, so my advice would be to do your CAI and all that other stuff then build the motor for the turbo. IMO its a little pointless to run 5-7 psi (not sure how much these blocks hold). You will have a lot more fun with more boost.

Oh yea, and the old saying is: Make it turn, Make it stop, then make it go fast

if your gonna go FI be ready to spend some money

your gonna need to rebuild the engine eventually and you wont notice anything with low boost preasures its just pointless. you would be better of to stay NA and drop it, buy nice wheels and some suspension upgrades.

i read somewhere that the stock internals on the VQ35 could handle around 15-16lbs of boost with moderate strain. I think it was some tuner magazine or somethin

That's something I would post in the FI section of the forums, as those dudes who have done all of that could give you some really good info.

On a stock block your looking at 350whp safely on your engine. Not too bad since your only getting about 220-230whp right now. Obviously with forged internals it would be even more fun like someone else said, but the automatic tranny limits that amount of power unless you drop 3-4K in the transmission alone. You will want to at least upgrade your VB and tranny cooler for now. Its pointless getting a CAI if your going to throw a turbo on.

Yeah I'd def try to buddy up with someone who has done this before, for all of those random questions you will end up having.
