Does anyone in the Connecticut region know where I can get the transgo shiftkit installed for a good price? Place I went wanted $1,000

 

It probably doesn't get too much better than that, lol. Naw, you should be in like $500 or so for labor.

 

These shift kits are not an easy install, 600-800 is the average install price, but recently people have been getting better deals.

 

You can do it yourself if you have a friend or two to help

 

That's too many parts for me to do it myself. I would end up losing something and be ****ed.

If you'll do a SEARCH there's a few threads on the TransGoShift Kit and even pic on how to install. I'm extreemly suprised, none of you guys are NOOBS and the answers are within reach. From what I can tell it's about a $1K mod once you buy the kit and have a reliable trans shop install it or you can DIY from the pic on the thread....Good Luck with that one!

I've seen that DIY install thread. Like I said up there, way too many small parts, I would lose something or forget where something went. I'd save up $1k and find a good place to do the install

 

or trade in your car for a manual.

 

I've done the install twice. It's not that hard just time consuming. I just used ziplock bags labeled for the size of the bolt and it was pretty easy to organize.

 

That price isn't that far off from what I was quoted by a reputable shop here in SoCal. Like $825 for labor, parts, fluid.
