Does the Infiniti Dealership sell more of those caps?

Yea they do. I think for a little more money then a regular cap you can get the ones with the lock on them.

 

Hehe mine are locked, but I'm still scared cuz can't anybody who has the same set use their key?

Several of mine got stolen too. The ordinary black plastic ones. What's the kid-thrill value in that?

 

It probably just matched better with the baseball card he had in the spokes! LOL Do they still do that! Probably not, their bikes today have friggin motors!

 

I've had my lockable INFINITI caps for a year and a half now in Newark, NJ. Still there. Seriously... what are the chances a punk kid is going to have the key to remove them with him when they spot your car? The only people that have the key are other car enthusiasts who were sick of getting their old ones stolen.

I tried to get the lockable ones last time I got the car serviced (Ramsey, NJ) but they were out of stock. I should just mail order 'em I guess.

 

The main reason I never got the lockable ones was for fear of that one crazy A hole who wants them badly enough to cut them off the stem. Therefore I'm satisfied with the standard chrome ones. Too many crazys out there.

I got a set of the non-locking chrome ones a while back. They were gone in a heartbeat. Since my car is kept 99% of the time in a Manhattan parking garage full of Porsches, BMWs, Mercedes etc., it's a bit of a mystery about when/by whom they were stolen. I (very) occasionally go to NJ shopping malls, always parking in the ding-free zone way out back. Might have happened there I suppose, but it would in effect mean the (days old) caps lasted about 3 hours outside the garage. The dealer replaced them (for free, thank you Ramsey Infiniti) with the ordinary black plastic ones, 2 of which were almost immediately stolen. Go figure...
